Natural Wellness & Red Light Therapy in Valdez, Alaska

We concluded our Prism Light Pod launch at the Alfa Doc in Valdez (Valdeez) Alaska. It was our first-time visiting Alaska and I must say that it is one of the most gorgeous places that I’ve ever seen!

Anchorage is surrounded by massive mountain ranges and rivers that my iPhone 12 photos can’t come close to representing how majestically beautiful they truly are.

We drove five hours to get from Anchorage to Valdez during the evening. There is only one road with one gas station between Palmer to Valdez. The night is pitch black, but you can see the tall mountain ranges on both sides. I kept my eyes open in hopes of seeing the Aurora Borealis, the northern lights of Alaska. To my pleasant surprise, they appeared in the sky to my left, glistening in green. I’ve never seen lights dancing across the sky before. It was something very special to witness. Fortunately, I snapped a few shots of them.

Aurora Borealis

Let me back-up. Last December, we had a booth at the A4M anti-aging industry conference and trade show in Las Vegas. We demoed our Prism Light Pod in our Sprinter van and exposed many visitors and doctors to the mitochondrial wellness benefits of our light pod. If you’re not familiar with our red-light therapy bed, think of it is allowing your body and mind to get the benefits of sun rays without the harmful effects of a sun burn nor skin cancer. By laying in the pod for 15-minutes, your body will receive a boost of energy and relaxation, similar to the feeling of receiving a massage, and your 70-100 trillion body cells will be recharged and revitalized.

A4M

At the show, the Alfa Doc, Dr. Angela visited us from Valdez, Alaska. She was there with her mom and daughter learning about different natural wellness modalities & solutions. We let her and daughter try the Prism Light Pod and they felt the benefits. The Alfa Doc decided to purchase the pod for improving the health of her community in Valdez.

Valdez is a small fishing and tourism seaport town with approximately 3,800 people during non-vacationing summer months. It was founded during the Gold Rush of 1898, then incorporated in 1901. The Alaskan oil pipeline reached Valdez in 1977 and in 1989, there was the Exxon Valdez oil spill. Fortunately, Prince Edward Sound has recovered and Valdez is as beautiful as ever.

Prince Edward Sound

It has a natural rain forest climate that is mostly cloudy and rainy with lots and lots of snow during the long winter months of October – April. The people are incredibly friendly and genuine. The sun was up from 6am to 11pm, but two of the 3 days were cloudy and damp, which we were told is typical in April. In the winter, the days are short with potential sunlight from 10am-3:30pm. Talk about messing-up your circadian rhythm and not getting the much-needed sunshine that our body’s require year-round.

The Alfa Doc

The launch event was amazing, many community members attended the grand-opening and they were the nicest folks on the planet. The staff at Alfa Doc were amazing hosts. As we learned about people’s aches and pains and their interest in getting naturally healthier, it was so gratifying to see how forward-thinking Dr. Angela is by bringing the Prism Light Pod to Valdez. One guest said, “Of course, I’m gonna lay in the pod, cause I don’t want to have to drive 300 miles to Anchorage to be in the hospital”.
